First birthday party!

mom had a good laugh at me eating my first cupcake.  i actually was really dainty while eating it.  i still managed to get the purple frosting all over my face.  my auntie laura made the cupcakes and frosting for my birthday.  i even wanted to share the goodness with dad.

1 year phtotos

I was such a good girl for my photos.  i even made it through a wardrobe change.  It was such a fun day.  We went to the farmers market and then i ate half a quesadilla at maui tacos.  yummy yummy!  mom says sorry that the photos are all sideways she hasn't figured out how to turn them yet.

swim lesson

i'm taking a break from updating y'all on auntie and opa's visit to show everyone my first swim lesson.  i had so much fun.  i can't wait to go back next week.

beach time

again on the second day we went to beach 69.  it is a great family beach.  it has lots of trees to sit under and no tourists.  auntie got wicked burnt on her first day here so we chilled under the tree most of the time.  mom and dad were so impressed by me.  they say this time was my first that i really enjoyed swimming.  good thing too since i start swim lessons tomorrow.

Polulu Valley

Word of warning to all visiters mom likes to keep people busy.  this hike was on the second day of auntie and opa's visit.  this same day we went to the beach too.  Mom said it was a great hike, i got left home for some daddy time.  which was so much fun too.

waipio valley

still on the first full day that opa and auntie were here we went to waipio valley.  it was so much fun.  we also went in to honokaa and got the best fudge ever.  well at least that's what i'm told mom wouldn't let me have any despite auntie's objection (she thinks every kid deserves fudge. i totally agree.  but i still have to listen to mom)

Farmers market

On Opa and Auntie Laura's first full day in Hawaii we went to the farmer's market in town.  Here we are looking at shirts for cousins baron and amelia.

first birthday update!

i'm getting so big now.  just growing like a weed.  So i had my one year check up at the doctors.  I was 30 inches tall and weighed 22 and a half pounds.  Just thought i would let y'all know.

I'll post more from Opa and Auntie Laura's visit all this week.  i have lots of photos and videos to share!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!

Mommy and Daddy are really excited today, they keep giving me kisses and saying 'Happy Birthday!'- (I'll have to Google that later). I'm excited because when I woke up this morning there was a whole bunch of neat stuff in the living room for me.

On my day off from school last friday mom and me went to hilo to go clothes shopping (i've out grown all most all of my clothes) and birthday shopping.  mom thought it was awesome to shop for the birthday girl while i was with her.  but the real story was my first grilled cheese sandwich.  it was so good i ate the whole thing.  i basically licked my plate clean.  opa, we are totally going back to ken's house of pancakes for more grilled cheese while you are here.
